Annotation -
The course provides students with knowledge in the field of industrial processes used to carbon dioxide capture from gases and flue gas, its consequent cleaning and processing into a form suitable for long term storage in underground or into a form suitable for use as a raw material in the chemical and food industries. By completing the course student gets overview about how ecological use of fuels that minimize the production of greenhouse gases, and creating the basis for long-term sustainable energy production.

Aim of the course -

The students will learn the methods to CO2 capture from different gas mixtures, which are used for these purposes in an industrial scale. Next, they will learn the CO2 cleaning procedures and further processing before storing CO2 in the underground or its use as the raw material in chemical or food industry. They will also learn the various technologies of the production of chemical products based on CO2.
