Annotation -
The aplication of methods used for water and wastewater analysis in laboratory are discussed in this course. The choice of methods is based on routine analytical practice. Students become acquainted with steps af analytical procedures, interferences, methods of sample pre-treatment, calculations and interpretation of results.

Aim of the course -

Students will know the determination methodology of common components of drinking, surface and sewage water and they will know the principles of all determinations. Students will know the procedure of each hydroanalytic determination and they will be able to calculate the results from the measured values, including the correct interpretation of the obtained results.

Course completion requirements -

Students' knowledge is verified in the form of continuous short tests and a final test, which includes both questions from the discussed theory (principles of analytical determinations) and hydroanalytical calculations.

Course completion requirements:

a score of more than 50 in each of the tests (intermediate and final)

an average score in each of the tests (intermediate and final) higher than 50

Classification: 91-100 points A, 81-90 points B, 71-80 points C, 61-70 points D, 51-60 points E, < 51 points F.
