The course is focused on important managerial skills that students can apply in leadership positions in practice. These are mainly the principles and rules of teamwork, team roles, and management of small and large teams. The role of laws, directives, and standards for the development of the field of chemistry, focusing on current European and national legislation, certification, and mandatory reporting systems in the field of chemistry is also discussed. The course also includes the issue of human resource management in organizations, ie placement of employees, performance management, and employee care systems. Furthermore, the course teaches the principles of communication between business entities and the public, which includes communication of the vision and mission of these entities, cooperation with local governments, sponsorship, relations with journalists, as well as crisis management, and other activities. The course teaches more teachers who combine theoretical information with practical experience in managerial positions.

Relationship between PR department and company management. • External relations. Proactive management of relations with surrounding municipalities, organizations and associations, with the public. Target groups and communication channels. Press department and the role of the press spokesperson, press release. Solving media crises.
