The course is focused on understanding the structural relationships of clay minerals, zeolites or molecular sieves and their adsorption, ion-exchangeable, and catalytic properties.

5. The structures of the most important natural and synthetic zeolites.

6. Ion-exchange reactions of zeolites.

7. The adsorption of gases and vapors on zeolites.

8. Catalytic properties of zeolites

9. Instrumental methods of characterization of zeolites.

10. Technological utilization of natural zeolites.

11. Synthesis of zeolites and molecular sieves.

12. Formation of zeolites in natural conditions.

13. Laboratory preparation of the most common zeolites and their characterization.

14. Excursions (natural sites or an enetrprise based on zeolite technology).
