Annotation
The subject emphasizes the fundamental physical-chemical principles involved in dressing ores and metal-bearing wastes and in metallurgical reactions utilized for pyrometallurgical or hydrometallurgical production of metals. The practical applications of the individual processes are demonstrated on the iron and steel production, the production of basic non-ferrous metals and main processes used to recycle metal-bearing wastes.
