Annotation -
Last update: Pátková Vlasta (16.11.2018)
The subject deals with advanced techniques of molecular spectroscopy, such as THz spectroscopy, chiroptical methods, suface-enhanced methods of Raman scattering and infrared spectroscopy. The submillimeter-, millimeter- and centimeter-wave spectroscopy techniques will also be discused.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Pátková Vlasta (16.11.2018)

Students will acquire a detailed overview of advanced methods of molecular spectroscopy from the point of view of the instrumentation base and the common quantum-mechanical theory, and from the point of view of their applications in practice, applied research, and basic research as well. Special attention will be paid to chiropticc methods, THz spectroscopy, surface-enhanced methods and unique techniques of deci-, centi-, milli-, and submillimetric spectroscopies, where students will be introduced to experiments in the laboratories of the UCT Prague.
