Annotation -
The course introduces students to selected characteristic phenomena associated with the history of science and technology of the 19th and 20th centuries in the Czech lands / Czechoslovakia / the Czech Republic. It places them in a political, ideological, economic and cultural context and relates Czech science to relevant international developments. It takes into account all scientific fields with an emphasis on the chemical sciences and explores the history of science at the individual and institutional levels
