Subject Advenced Pharmacology follows on courses of pharmacology and pharmacochemistry, and is focused on new trends in the field of pharmacology and development of new drugs, which is presented in the course in order to obtain a current list of situations in the individual pharmacological groups of drugs.

  • Actively and passively use the terminology in general and special pharmacology
  • Understand the principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
  • Describe the interactions and effects of drugs on living organisms

2. Pharmacokinetics. The fate of the drug in the organism. Absorption. Distribution. Biotransformation. Elimination.

3. Pharmacodynamics. Receptor theory. Types of specific interactions.

4. Drug effects. Factors modifying drug effects. Drug Interactions.

5. Pharmacology of central nervous system. The best-known drugs and their effects. Trends in development.

6. Pharmacology of the peripheral nervous system. The best-known drugs and their effects. Trends in development.

7. Pharmacology of the circulatory system, blood and hematopoietic organs. The best-known drugs and their effects.

8. Pharmacology of the respiratory tract. The best-known drugs and their effects. Trends in development.

9. Pharmacology of the digestive system. The best-known drugs and their effects. Trends in development.

10. Pharmacology of the excretory system. The best-known drugs and their effects. Trends in development.
