The aim of this course is to submit information on the basic principles and supporting processes designed to protect metal against degradation phenomena induced by the environment. During the course, students will be introduced to both the basic processes of corrosion protection such as a) selection of constructional material, b) electrochemical protection, c) reducing of the environment aggressiveness d) surface treatment and also with complementary procedures such as structural design, monitoring, etc.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Kubová Petra Ing. (12.01.2018)

Students will be able to:

take advantage of the choice of material, electrochemical protection, environmental modification and the surface to increase the life of equipment and products,

apply methods of corrosion protection for materials exposed to specific operating conditions.
