The subject is aimed for the fundamentals of petroleum, coal and biomass processing and for characterization of fuels, which are produced from these raw materials. Students get information about the properties, safety and environmental impact of fuels during their production, distribution and combustion. A part of the subject is also focused on gas cleaning technologies for stationary and mobile pollution sources.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Šimáček Pavel doc. Ing. Ph.D. (23.01.2018)

Students will know:

Fundamentals of petroleum, coal and biomass processing and fundamentals of fuel production.

Solid, liquid and gas fuels and possibilities of their partial or complete substitution by alternative products.

Students will be able to analyze the impact of production, distribution and combustion of fuels to environment, they will also know the arrangements for minimizing of negative environmental impacts.
