The course is divided into two parts. The first one concentrates on water resources including sampling, collection of underground and surface water and water infiltration. The focus is on the requirements for drinking water quality, distribution systems, materials water networks and chemical unbalance of water in relation to process of corrosion. In addition attention is also paid to calculation of drinking water demand and water reservoirs. The second part of the course aims at the sewerage networks including types of urban drainage systems, materials of sewers and the influence of sewer system on wastewater treatment plant. The construction and purpose of main sewerage objects are explained.
Aim of the course -

Student will be able to:

Know principal laws and regulations for transport of drinking and waste water,

Determine aggressive and incrustation quality of water,

Describe main types of sewerage networks,

Know materials of distribution systems and materials od sewerage networks,

Understand the function of main objects in the sewerage networks,

Calculate drinking water demand and capacity of water reservoirs.
