After 2020, various causes of shortages of some basic raw materials and resources began to emerge. Some of them, such as the lack of water and subsequently food, had their origins in the world's climate change, others were caused by disruption of transport infrastructure, speculative purchases, lack of long-term vision or investment difficulties. For the first time since the post-war period, the world has realized that water, energy, food and materials are the foundation of every civilization and that national security includes (1) the physical provision of these resources and resources, (2) maintaining social peace, and (3) environmentally friendly, low-emission relationship. The aim of the course is to present the world as an ecosystem in which the stability of civilization depends primarily on the proper management of material and energy flows, which can only be achieved through cumulative savings and measures that start in the real, physical, "engineering" world but are combined with psychological factors. cultural and social spheres. The student will gain an overview of the current state of raw material use and current trends in resource use. Furthermore, the student will be introduced to possible scenarios for the development of the availability of raw materials and resources. Within the course, the student will search for relationships in the field of management of the selected resource and propose measures to ensure its availability in the future. A necessary condition for the credit will be the presentation of the research findings.
