Annotation -
Students will get acquainted with practical applications of environmental assessment of large technological units acquired during studies at the Institute of Chemical Technology (focusing on sustainable energy technologies, water treatment and purification systems, air protection, waste treatment, green chemistry and decontamination). Students then choose a project from the topics listed at the Department of Sustainability and Project Ecology, or in agreement with the course teachers bring their own topic with a focus on their research activities or diploma/bachelor the thesis supervisor and then the project must be defended before a commission composed of mentors and subject teachers.

Aim of the course -

Students will gain practical knowledge in the implementation of LCA and LCAA methods in the product design and of larger technological units in the fields of sustainable energy, water treatment and purification systems, air protection, waste treatment, green chemistry and decontamination. Students will became familiar with various methods of evaluation and principles of determining uncertainties and process optimization. Students will gain practical knowledge in the processing of a comprehensive technical text within the individual laboratory project developed by him with the possibility of focusing on their activities (within DP, research, BP, etc.) and extend their analysis to another dimension, ie environmental aspect.
