Students will be able to:

Search for primary and secondary sources of information using the basic databases (Chemical Abstracts, SciFinder, ISI Web of Science);

Analyze and evaluate information and to structure and process them to the form of scientific text;

Studenti budou umět:

Vyhledávat primární a sekundární zdroje informací pomocí základních databází (Chemical Abstracts, SciFinder, ISI Web of Science).

Analyzovat a hodnotit informace, strukturovat a zpracovávat je ve formě odborného textu s uvedením přesných literárních zdrojů.

Students themselves will search literature related to their individual topics.

Literaturu k jednotlivým tématům individuální práce si hledají studenti.

The objectives of the seminar are individual topics announced by pedagogues. Work on a seminar paper will start by searching for relevant literary sources related to a given topic using basic secondary sources (databases). Students under the guidance of teachers will extract relevant information that they will use in their review article. The obtained results will be critically evaluated and conclusion will be formulated. The review paper has to have a suitable structure including correct citation that will be sorted at the end of the paper in a list of references. This review article with adequate scope and with met all formal requirements will be the output of the work with scientific literature.

Předmětem semináře jsou samostatná témata vypisovaná pedagogy. Seminární práce studentů na zadané téma začne vyhledáním relevantních literárních zdrojů při použití základních sekundárních zdrojů s pomocí databází odborné vědecké literatury. Z těchto zdrojů studenti pod vedením pedagogů extrahují informace související se zadaným tématem z nichž vypracují přehledový článek s vhodnou strukturou. Výsledky rešerše v přehledovém článku kriticky vyhodnotí a formulují závěry. U informací použitých v práci uvedou správné citace a ty seřadí na konci přehledové práce v seznamu použité literatury. Výstupem práce s odbornou literaturou bude přehledový článek odpovídajícího rozsahu a splňující všechny formální požadavky.
