Syllabus -

The lectures will focus on the basic functions of the individual components of the immune system; characteristics related to the structure and properties of antigens and antibodies; possibilities of antibody preparation; parameters of antigen-antibody interaction in vitro; haptens and immunoassay; details of procedures of basic immunochemical methods (precipitation-non-precipitation, label-free with label; enzyme immunoassay and differences in its variations; immunoblot, immunochromatographic assay, immunohistochemical applications, etc. In subsequent laboratory exercises, the theoretical foundations acquired in the lectures will be combined with the practical implementation of selected laboratory techniques (ELISA, ICT, immunoblot).
