The course is based on the basic principles of general and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry and chemistry and solid state physics. The course opens the way to a deeper understanding of the role of energy in chemical processes for students. The concrete examples to verify the ability of students to assess reactivity, stability as well the possibility of substances existence.
Aim of the course -
Last update: TAJ101 (03.12.2013)

Students will be able to:

Clarify the origin as well meaning of energy and entropic contributions to the properties of inorganic substances.

Assess the impact of non-standard conditions on the energy pronouncement of substances.

To estimate the possibility of inorganic compounds inherency.

Justify the behavior of cations and anions in polar solvents.

Explain the periodic trends in the thermodynamic properties of inorganic compounds.
