The series of lectures focuses on glass, ceramics and porcelain and their technology, stylistic evolution and morphology from prehistoric and ancient times to the present day. It touches upon the heydays of glass and ceramics production in ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt and Europe during the Greek and Roman Empire, through the High Middle Ages to the Early Modern and Modern Age.

  • use basic orientation in styles, their scheduling and periodization;
  • use knowledge of processing techniques of glass, ceramics and porcelain, including methods of decoration.
