The aim of the Sludge Management course is to deliver basic knowledge about properties and optimal handling methods of sludge produced during wastewater treatment. It will be described the methods of sludge stabilization, hygienization, dewatering and final disposal or reuse. Emphasis is put on methods leading to minimization of sludge production and methods of energetic and material valorization of sludge.
