Theoretical fundamentals of the use of chemical reactions for chemical analysis are extended especially with respect to existence of systematic bias of analytical results. First part is focused on proper expression of measurement results. Second part is devoted to chemical equilibria in analytical chemistry (protolytic, complexometric, precipitation and redox systems) that affect analyte behaviour in aueous environment. The last part deepens knowledge of optimalization and calibration aspects in analytical chemistry. In excersizes, the students sovle individually practical problems using simple algorithms.
Aim of the course

Students will be able to

Characterize protolytic, complexometric, precipitation and redox equilibria and their inffluence on an analytical determination in aqueous environment;

Construct and interprete distribution diagrams and predominance array diagrams;

Estimate competently key factors of analytical method optimalization.
