    The language and professional training for study at the Institute of Economics and Management is intended for foreign applicants to study accredited bachelor's or master's programmes at the Institute of Economics and Management and other Czech universities, applicants who need to acquire and consolidate language knowledge and skills, gain communicative competence and orientation in the basic terminology of their future programme.

    This is a professional and linguistic preparation for studying an accredited study programme of a university, organised by the VŠCHT Prague as a public university within the meaning of Section 64 (b) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic.

    Teaching is organised in two semesters. It starts with the acquisition of basic language competences. In the second semester, specialist thematic blocks are included - mathematical operations and terminology, project teaching, intercultural communication, techniques of university studies - methodically preparing for mastering university studies.

    The programme may also include English language consolidation and other professional subjects according to the choice of the participants.
    The main goal is to prepare students
    - for the Czech language exam at the B2 level (SERR), which is required by most Czech universities;
    - as well as for the university entrance exams;
    - and for successful completion of university studies.

    English language level of at least A2 SERR;
    knowledge of the Latin alphabet in both words and writing;

    A prerequisite for admission to the programme is the completion of the Language Study Compass - Motivaton form
    Regular active participation of at least 80%; compliance with the study regulations of the preparatory course and fulfilment of study obligations.
