Module 2 of the Data Stewardship course transforms the theoretical knowledge gained in Module 1 into applicable skills. It is structured as a series of workshops and assignments in collaboration with local trainers, often taking place in the form of group work and interdisciplinary discussions. The main focus is on the practical application of Research Data Management (RDM): students focus on creating and interpreting a DataManagement Plan (DMP), practice structuring and documenting data using metadata and Readme files, and delve into data storage, file formats and implementing FAIR principles on their own datasets. The aim ofthe module is to verify and strengthen students' ability to manage their project data effectively and in accordance with best practices, which is ultimately tested in an individual exam assignment.
