    A one-semester course at the University of the Third Age.
    Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Raffael Santi: names we all know. Their work culminated a phase in the development of Italian society from which we have inherited the typeface we write with, securities and other tools of the modern economy, but also immortal literary works, the foundations of modern urban planning and, above all, an emphasis on human individuality. From what and how was the Italian Renaissance born?
    The graduate of the course will be familiar with the historical and cultural development in northern Italy from the 13th to the early 16th century, with the social and economic conditions from which Italian Renaissance humanism was born, and with the development of fine arts in relation to the spread of education and intellectual currents of the period.

    2) Florence and the rise of Florentine power
    3) The dictatorship of the guilds and ancient Rome as an argument
    4) Dante Alighieri, Giotto di Bondone and the others
    5) The great rivals Lorenzo Ghiberti and Filippo Brunelleschi
    6) Humanism, Niccolò de'Niccoli and the birth of Latin
    7) Leon Battista Alberti, uomo universale
    8) Florence Cosimo, Piero and Lorenzo de' Medici
    9) Savonarola and the rebirth of the Florentine Republic
    10) The return of the Medici family

    Students who are expected to have completed secondary education or vocational secondary education or similar are admitted to study. Another prerequisite is that the applicant is in receipt of an old-age or invalidity pension. Pensionable employment is not a bar to admission.

      Podle čl. 15 Řádu celoživotního vzdělávání Vysoké školy chemicko-technologické v Praze schváleného dne 8.10.2014 Ministerstvem školství mládeže a tělovýchovy pod čj. MSMT-36662/2014-30 je stanoven poplatek za studium v programech U3V.

      Program U3V je uskutečňován za úplatu. Výše poplatku je stanovena na 500 Kč za jeden semestr se splatností v termínu zápisu do semestru. Úplata je nevratná. V poplatku jsou zahrnuty veškeré náklady za jeden semestr studia.

      Poplatek za studium lze platit bezhotovostním převodem nebo poštovní poukázkou na účet VŠCHT Praha.
