Polymerizability of low molecular substances. Free radical polymerization - elemental reactions. Kinetics of free radical polymerization. Free radical copolymerization. Ionic polymerization and copolymerization. Insertion polymerization, polymerization practice. Ring-opening polymerization. Step-growth polymerization - characterization, reactivity of monomer functional groups. Polycondensation - mechanism and kinetics, molecular weight distributions. Polyadditions - typical syntheses.
