1. Introduction and safety instruction 1.-6. week - Measurement of a particular laboratory task (unit operation) 2.-7. week - Handing in the laboratory report and a short examination to conclude the task from a previous week
Example of laboratory tasks: Bioreactor, Centrifugal pump characteristics, Filtration, Fluidization, Pressure loss in pipes and valves, Mixing, Pressure drop in packed beds, Reverse osmosis, Heat exchangers, Sedimentation, Milling, Rectification. |

To pass the course students must, for each laboratory assignment, hand in written laboratory report and pass a brief examination with teacher assistants verifying the basic understanding of theory underlying the particular unit operation. |
