Students will be able to:

Understand basic principles of biochemistry; it means structure and function of different biological molecules including correlation between their structure and function, principals of enzyme catalysis and division of enzymes into basic classes, functions of biological membranes and membrane transport, basic concept of metabolism and energy conversion, major metabolic pathways including photosynthesis and nitrogen compounds metabolism.

Studenti budou umět:

Základy biochemie; to znamená vlastnosti různých biologických molekul včetně souvislostí mezi jejich strukturou a funkcí, principy enzymové katalýzy a rozdělení enzymů do základní tříd, funkci biomembrán a membránový transport; dále pak obecné principy látkové a energetické přeměny, hlavní metabolické dráhy včetně fotosyntézy a metabolismu dusíkatých látek.

Successful completion of seminars (including required test(s)) and both written and oral part of exam.

Úspěšné absolvování seminářů (včetně požadovaných testů) a písemné i ústní části zkoušky.
