Students will learn about the methodology for solving problems using system dynamics models. The presented dynamic models will enable them to understand the behaviour of complex systems. They will practice their knowledge and skills by solving specific problem situations presented in the games.

1. Motives for designing dynamic models. Benefits and limitations of computer simulations for problem solving.

2. Explanation of the importance of causal loops in a system. Examples of specific problems.

3. Distribution game for understanding system behavior.

4. Analyzing the results and finding a solution to the problem situation.

5. Types of elements and constraints in the dynamic models.

6. The process of creating system dynamics models. Simulation of system behaviour and policy making.

7. Game - dynamic behaviour of systems under resource constraints.

8. Analysis of data obtained in the game and design of solutions.

9. Analysis of complex model behaviour via web interface.

10. Examples of solving a specific problem situations using system dynamics models.

11. Model of maintenance and defect occurrence in the technical systems.

12. Project management model.

13. Construction system model. Building stock management.

14. The life cycle model of the technical system.
