The subject serves to improve students' graphic, graphic and photographic skills, which they will use when restoring cultural heritage objects. The content is chosen according to the student's specialization.
Aim of the course -

Students will be able to perform artistic, graphic, photographic and plastic study of objects and their details during restoration of monuments according to specialization.

Conservation of textile objects:

The student manages the photographic techniques necessary for the documentation of restoration work: it controls image technology, lighting technology, digital photography processing in the most widespread programs, controls printing, working with photos on the web, photo wrapping in text and basic archiving programs.

Conservation-restoration of metallic artworks
  • Art, graphic and plastic acquisition of iconography and mythology
  • Art preparation for craft techniques - engraving, tauching, unwinding
  • Technical drawing of the monument, dimensioning (Auto Cad)
  • Vector study of missing ornamentation according to predefined templates on selected monuments (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw)

Conservation-restoration of artworks from glass and ceramics

  • Plastic acquisition of shape, plasticity.
  • Plastic study of natural science and subjects.
  • Modeling of clay.

Conservation-restoration of handicraft works of textile materials
• Photographic and technological procedures: space specifics, light scenario of the object

• Photographing of objects from materials of applied art: glass, porcelain, metal, fabrics

• Reconstruction of contemporary photography

• Introduction to photo production; ethics and aesthetics, the specifics of visual culture

• Advanced photo editing techniques
