The course is focused on improvement of student’s art, graphic and photographic skills, that are used within process of conservation-restoration of cultural heritage objects.

Students will be able to perform artistic, graphic, photographic or plastic study of objects and their details according to the study specialization.

Conservation of objects from textile materials:
Students actively use the acquired knowledge and skills in drawing, painting and nontraditional techniques, thus enriching their ability to capture the art idea and inspiration from phenomenal reality, its cultivation and processing into the final form of a design or copy of a historical work. Controls the technical display of individual textile techniques and their drawing documentation. Credit is awarded on the basis of submitted assignments.

Conservation-restoration of metallic artworks
  • Artwork for craftsmanship.
  • Vector study of adding a missing ornament according to predefined artefacts (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW).
  • Fundamentals of 3D modeling in the Rhinoceros program (study of rotating objects - cups, jugs, holbes, studies of symmetrical and regular objects - boxes, jewelery boxes).

Conservation-restoration of artworks from glass and ceramics
  • Drawing, painting and plastic acquisition of shape, plasticity, perspective and décor.
  • Drawing, painting and plastic acquisition of a study of natural resources, objects, skulls, animal skulls.
  • Drawing with pencil, rust, charcoal.
  • Painting with temper colors, watercolor.
  • Modeling of clay.

Conservation-restoration of handicraft works of textile materials
• Realistic studies of lace and weaving techniques

• Drawing practice of technical display of individual textile techniques

• Drawing documentation of historical textiles
