Subject is focused on issues concerning determination of the porous material texture properties including description of gas transport in porous solids. Basic characterization and description of the porous material texture properties by the physical sorption of inert gases, mercury porosimetry and helium pycnometry belongs to the main topic of this subject. The integral part is also application of theoretical knowledge for evaluation of the real data of porous solids with pores in the range from 0.3 nm to 100 m.

The students will be able to:

1. Know the basic issues and the possibility of the textural properties determination of porous solids.

2. Select and apply the appropriate characterization method to process obtained experimental data obtained and to evaluate the textural properties of any porous material.

3. Znát základní popis transportních jevů v pórech včetně jejich využití pro stanovení transportních parametrů porézních materiálů Know the basic description of transport phenomena in the pores, including their application for determination of the porous materials transport parameters.
