The subject is focused on ways and causes of polymer products failure and methods used for analysis of these materials. Case studies of failure of the most common polymer products are listed.

3. Causes of polymer product failure: processing, design of product, bad choice of material

4. Degradation of polymer materials influenced by environmental factors

5. Methods of determination of polymer additives

6. Flow properties of polymers, measuring of viscosity, flow curves, plasticity of elastomers, vulcanization characteristics of rubber mixture

7. Static testing of polymer mechanical properties (creep, relaxation)

8. Dynamic testing of polymer mechanical properties

9. Thermal behavior of polymers and characterization methods (DSC, DMA, TGA)
