Biochemistry: Seminar II essentially deepens the knowledge of students aquired during biochemistry study. It presumes the knowledge of basic lectures of biochemistry and aims at revealing the connection between particular metabolic pathways and at their deeper understanding. It serves as introducion of the student to the problematics of metabolic pathway regulation. At the end of the course students are presented with modern techniques of molecular biology, which are common in laboratory practice.

Předmět Seminář z biochemie II zásadním způsobem prohlubuje znalosti studentů získané během studia biochemie. Předpokládá znalosti základního učiva biochemie a klade si za cíl objasnění spojitostí mezi jednotlivými metabolickými drahami a jejich hlubší pochopení a dále uvedení studentů do problematiky regulace těchto drah. V závěru kurzu budou studentům představeny moderní techniky molekulové genetiky, se kterými se mohou běžně setkat při laboratorní praxi.

describe respiratory chain and photosynthesis

describe types of membrane transport

understand the very basics of molecular genetics

Studenti budou umět:

Popsat průběh a regulaci základních anabolických a katabolických dějů.

Popsat dýchací řetězec a fotosyntézu.

Popsat druhy membránového transportu.

Velmi stručné základy molekulární genetiky.
