The course is focused on understanding the basic problems associated with the measurement of some variables in environmental protection. Therefore, there are first discussed the most common pollutants in the air, their emergence and distribution. Main part of the course deals with principles of continuous measurement of pollution. Attention is also paid to the measurement of meteorological variables that may affect the transport of pollutants in the atmosphere.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Bartovský Tomáš doc. Ing. CSc. (14.11.2012)

Students will be able to:

Assess the suitability of a method for measuring the concentration of pollutants in the environment.

Critically evaluate the relevance of measured results.

Design the measuring chain and conditions even for non-standard requirements of measurement.
