The subject is devoted to selected methods of three-dimensional modelling including object recognition and the use of virtual reality for construction of virtual objects and scenery around. Topics studied include elements of computer vision in informatics, the use of the VRML language in the MATLAB environment and web applications.

1 Definition of virtual reality, basic principles of the control of virtual world, Avatar. VRML viewers.

2 Principles of the 3D world creation, basic algorithms and their mathematical background.

3 Homogeneous axis, geometric transforms in the 3D. Illuminated models.

4 Static scenes modelling in the VRML, file structure, graph of the scene, attributes, prototypes, VRML a HTML

5 Nodes of geometric bodies.

6 The node transform and its attributes.

7 Appearance of geometric bodies. Text processing.

8 Group and son nodes.

9 The use of illumination sources.

10 Time dependent nodes.

11 Associated nodes. Interpolators.

12 The survay of tools for the 3D modelling.

13 CASE STUDY 1 - design of the static virtual world.

14 CASE STUDY 2 - design of the dynamic virtual world.
