Students will be able to: Actively use the FactSage computer system for various thermodynamic computations. Activaly use the OptiSage to simultaneously optimize thermodynamic and equilibrium data. Create user databases for both pure substances and condensed solutions with different thermodynamic descriptions. |

The lectures cover the following topics: 1. Theoretical basics (brief reminders of thermodynamics fundamentals, mathematical apparatus, sources of thermodynamic data). 2. Description of the FactSage system (description of individual calculation modules and implemented databases of thermodynamic data of pure substances and condensed solutions). 3. Description of the OptiSage system (thermodynamic data optimization module that is part of FactSage). 4. Information about alternative software: Thermo-calc, MTDATA, PANDAT and others. The individual work of the students is focused on the complex solution of the assigned task and consists in: 1. Literary search of thermodynamic data for given task. 2. Create a custom database in FactSage. 3. Carrying out of entered calculations. 4. Interpretation of the results obtained within the model process. |
