The aim of the course is to teach the main topics of coal and gas processing and utilization. In addition to the overview of the issue of natural gas origin, the subject describes the treatment of raw natural gas for the transmission system. At the same time, the subject deals with the state and transport characteristics of the transported natural gas together with the qualitative and quantitative measurements at the transmission stations. Last but not least, the subject is focused on the use of natural gas as a chemical raw material and its use for the production of liquid hydrocarbons.

After completing the course students will understand natural gas extraction and treatment technologies, equipment for qualitative and quantitative measurement of natural gas at transmission stations.

At the same time they will acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge of the use of natural gas as a chemical raw material and for the production of liquid hydrocarbons.
