Annotation -
The course will be divided into two subsequent sections. The first (shorter) one will introduce basic toxicological characteristics of typical environmental pollutants with special emphasize to parameters applied within quantification of their carcinogenic as well as non-carcinogenic effects. The second section will then be directed to principles of risk calculation for selected exposition pathways and their illustrative examples.

Aim of the course -

After successfully passing the exam, the students will get extensive knowledge on theoretical background of risk analysis in contaminated land management as well as broad practical experience with carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks assessment. The knowledge completed within the course will be applicable in old pollution sites remediation and accidental events.
