The purpose of this course is to learn strategies to develop scientific research. The class is divided into 3 main blocks.
1) The students will learn how to start up the literature review for a specific research project, how to search for literature, use citation managers, cite properly, and avoid plagiarism.
2) The students will learn how to make a proper diagram or figure, how to work with data, and how to do statistics.
3) The students will learn how to write their research reports, theses, and papers (including proper title, abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, and conclusions)

The final examination is in the form of a written exam, where the students show their ability to formulate the title, keywords, and abstract of a scientific paper, show their knowledge of formal rules required for technical reports and papers and demonstrate their ability to represent experimental data in the form of tables and figures.
