1. Basic terms (measurements, quantities, characteristics of analytical methods), preparation of distilled water, optical methods

2. Biosensors, potentiometric sensors, the principles of pH measurements and maintenance of electrodes

3. Optical, thermal and piezoelectric transducers, sensors based on sensitive polymer layer, requirements for ideal biosensor

4. Procedures used for sample preparation for analysis, filtration, ultrafiltration, dialysis, sonication, microwave devices

5. Robotics, automation, system miniaturization

6. Separation methods, flow cytometry, centrifuges and centrifugal methods, rotors, field flow fractionation

7. Electrophoresis I: basic terms, separation modes

8. Electrophoresis II: detection, blotting, processing and storage of electropherograms

9. Chromatography I: basic terms, methods, TLC, different types of chromatographs

10. Chromatography II: liquid chromatography, Van Deemter equation, diagnostic of problems with chromatographic separation, gel chromatography

11. Chromatography III: Ion exchange chromatography, sorbents for hydrophobic chromatography, chromatofocusing, chelation ion chromatography

12. Detectors used in chromatography, derivatization of analytes, maintenance rules, selection of appropriate equipment

13. Multidimensional separation techniques in proteomics, combining of different separation techniques and detectors

14. Preparative methods, methods of instruments adjusting, troubleshooting
