Kurz se zaměřuje na zvládnutí základních dovedností formálního písemného projevu v anglickém jazyce - struktura odstavce, eseje, abstraktu. Dále klade důraz na odstranění nejčastějších jazykových chyb, rozlišení formálního a neformálního stylu, zvládnutí interpunkce, i schopnosti správně citovat a používat sekundární literaturu.
