Students will be able to:
Describe cell structure and hierarchical organization of biotic components of ecosystem. Principles of classical and molecular genetics, imunology and stress physiology. Classify food chains and other interspecies relationships in ecosystems. Find nomenclature and classification of organisms for practical purposes (e.g. for Bc. or Diploma thesis).

Structure and basic classification of plants, animals and fungi. 10. Hierarchical organization of biological systems - individual, population, community. Population growth. 11. Interspecies relationships (e.g. trophical chains). 12. Bioms and ecosystems - characterization of basic types, evolution of ecosystems. 13. Chemical ecology. Chemical communication. 14. Selected chapters on evolution. |
