The aim of the course is to develop communication skills with special focus on the specific features of professional language, to enhance the acquired knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The covered topics include food, drugs, materials, fuels and energy, environmental technology and chemical engineering. One lesson is dedicated to presentation skills.

In order to complete the course and receive the credit, students must acquire 50 points out of a total of 70 points. The points are awarded for passing the end-of-term test (max. 50 pts), working actively in lessons (max. 10 pts), preparing and giving a minipresentation (max. 3 pts) and doing assigned homework (max. 7 pts).
The course is completed with an exam consisting of two parts. In the oral part, students have to prove they are able to understand and discuss a scientific article presented to them. The other part of the exam is giving a presentation on a scientific topic. Before taking the exam, students must complete both the OAJ A and OAJ B courses. Last update: Pokorná Markéta (07.09.2023)
