The subject gives a survey of phase transformations which are important for treatment of metallic materials. Crystallization of alloys, as well as solid state phase transformations of steels and non-ferrous metals, are described.
Aim of the course -
Last update: TAJ106 (23.07.2013)

Students will be able to:

read the phase diagrams.

describe the mechanisms of crystallization and phase transformations in solid state.

Describe and apply processes during crystallization of metals and alloys.

Describe and apply the processes during heat treatment of metals and alloys.
