The aim of the classes is to get students familiar with the microbial diversity in different environments as well as processes typical of the particular environment. The major items of interest will involve the biosphere formation, microbial diversity and its analysis, biogeochemical cycles, biodegradation and bioremediation.

Student will understand the basics of microbial processes happening in the environment in order to maintain equilibrium. In addition, students will acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of microbial diversity analyses.
