Annotation -
Bioanalytical methods are applied to determination of analytes using specific interactions between molecules. Modern bioanalytical techniques provide high specificity of analysis (one of reagents is biopolymer and that is why we talk about biospecificity), but also high sensitivity and low detection limit. Part of lectures will cover enzymatic methods, proteomics, metabolomics, electromigration methods, advanced genetic methods, immunochemical and other biochemical and microbiological methods including modern trends as clinical biodiagnostics and modern individualized therapy approach.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Choose suitable special analytical method with appropriate detection limit.

Apply the chosen method to samples of different origin and their characterization.

Orientate themselves in specialized literature concerning biomolecules issue and special approach to their study.

Obtain wide knowledge of most modern bioanalytical methods spectra including possibility, suitability and limits of their application.
