The course provides the first part of a basic overview of analytical chemistry. Students will learn about the principles of analytical methods that are used in control and development analytical laboratories. The spectrum of methods includes both classical analysis methods (gravimetry, quantitative analysis) and instrumental methods, from which students will learn about electrochemical methods (potentiometry, voltammetry, polarography, coulometry), separation methods (gas and liquid chromatography, electrophoresis) and atomic spectrometry (AAS, XRF). The subject is taught only with the follow-up subject Analytical Chemistry B. Both subjects are supplemented with exercises used to practice the discussed topics in the form of calculation problems.
