Sustainability management | |
Currently, sustainable development is the basic principle and priority goal of European Union policies. Sustainability topics are becoming a fundamental pillar of business and state administration. The UN 2030 Agenda contains 17 sustainable development goals that apply to all countries and represent the development program for the next 15 years. Knowledge of sustainability management is becoming an integral part of successful business models. The government of the Czech Republic has committed itself to fulfilling the globally valid and recognized Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals with the Strategic Framework of the Czech Republic 2030 adopted by the government in 2017. The content of the lifelong learning course Sustainability management is focused both on cross-cutting topics and policies supporting sustainable development, as well as on topics related to the individual goals of sustainable development. The course will provide participants with the latest information and findings in the field of sustainable development, and will also point out new opportunities and connections to sustainable business. Sustainability management is a frequently discussed topic these days, and more and more organizations are beginning to actively focus on topics related to sustainability. Sustainability management integrates sustainable principles of business in a number of aspects, of which economic, social, environmental and ethical topics are in the first places. A responsible organization can significantly influence its surroundings through its activities. For the satisfactory development of our society, it is therefore necessary that commercial companies, state and non-profit organizations behave responsibly and sustainably within the framework of their operations and activities. The sustainable behavior of organizations is linked to the company's values and strategies, which should be in line with the principles of sustainable development and have the lowest possible negative impact on both the environment and society. Sustainability is not just a contemporary moral appeal, it is a great opportunity. |
