    Sustainability in Practice
    The course “Sustainability in Practice” focuses on applying sustainability principles in industrial and corporate practice. Participants will acquire specific knowledge and skills needed to develop sustainability strategies, prepare sustainability reports, assess environmental impacts, and implement measures to reduce them.
    The course builds on the theoretical foundations of sustainability management and emphasizes the development of practical competencies. It is intended primarily for those who wish to strengthen their professional role in the field of sustainability or prepare for the qualification exam for Sustainability Manager.
    The course is divided into six thematic modules that introduce participants to the main areas of sustainability in corporate practice. Each module includes interactive workshops and exercises that support the practical application of acquired knowledge.
    Kurz je rozdělen do šesti tematických bloků:
    1. Úvod do udržitelnosti
    o Stav životního prostředí a globální výzvy
    o Legislativní rámec, praktické důvody a motivace pro udržitelnost
    o Diskuze: Co znamená udržitelnost?
    2. ESG reporting a participace
    o Reporting ESG, analýza materiality
    o Participativní rozhodování
    o Workshop: analýza zúčastněných stran, analýza materiality
    3. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
    o Úvod do life cycle thinking, metodologie LCA a kategorií dopadu LCA
    o Praktické aktivity (životní cyklus, funkční jednotka, inventarizace)
    o Výpočet příkladové LCA studie
    4. Uhlíková stopa
    o Výpočet uhlíkové stopy produktu (ISO, EPD)
    o GHG protokol (Scope 1–3) a uhlíková stopa organizace
    o Workshopy: rozbor EPD, výpočet uhlíkové stopy organizace
    5. Komunikace a greenwashing
    o Odpovědná komunikace o udržitelnosti
    o Greenwashing a jeho rozpoznání
    o Certifikace (ekoznačky, EPD)
    o Workshop: analýza a příklady z praxe
    6. Strategie udržitelnosti
    o Firemní kultura, hodnoty, mise a vize
    o ESG strategie: klíčová témata, prioritizace, cíle a opatření
    o Scénáře budoucnosti a strategické plánování
    o Workshop: scénáře budoucnosti

    A graduate of the Sustainability in Practice course will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for the practical implementation of sustainable development principles within industrial enterprises as well as in a corporate environment. They will be able to navigate the legislative frameworks and regulatory requirements of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the field of sustainability, particularly in relation to ESG reporting and the CSRD Directive.

    They will be capable of engaging employees and other stakeholders in a participatory manner in the creation and implementation of sustainability strategies. They will master methods for integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into an organisation’s internal processes and strategic planning.

    The graduate will be able to formulate, implement, and assess an organisation’s internal sustainability policy, establish indicators for monitoring environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects, and use tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or carbon footprint analysis to support decision-making.

    The competencies acquired will prepare them for positions such as Sustainability Manager or Consultant, ESG Specialist, Non-Financial Reporting Expert, or Corporate Sustainability Strategy Coordinator.
