The course provides a basic orientation in the system of public administration in the Czech Republic. The aim is to give students a general overview of the organization and activities of public administration. The big part of the course consists of municipal and regional establishments, especially in their regulation according to the laws on municipalities and regions. In addition, the course will bring the basics of the study of regional development. At the end of the course, students will know the principles and functioning of public power, the foundations of the rule of law and the principles and functioning of constitutional and self-governing institutions, including the legislative process. Organization of public administration and organizational principles, decision-making in public administration and its factors and principles 4. State administration in the Czech Republic - structure of state administration in the Czech Republic, functions and powers of central state administration bodies and other central state administration bodies 5. Territorial self-government - legislative framework of activities of municipalities, types of municipalities in the Czech Republic according to the Act on Municipalities, position of the capital, statutory cities, towns and municipalities, characteristic features of municipalities 6.
