Annotation -
The course focuses on the basic and new principles of operation of power plants (conventional thermal and nuclear power plants, combined cycle, heat pump). In seminars, students are introduced to the calculation of mass and thermal balance of the steam generator and the calculation of the size of demineralization station.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Understand the thermodynamic principles and operational parameters of conventional thermal and nuclear power plants, combined cycle, refrigeration and heat pump, principles of corrosion processes and corrosion prevention in power cycles. Calculate mass and thermal balance of the steam generator and the optimal size of demineralization lines.
