| Language training is intended for those interested in studying at university in English. It is a course with intensive English language instruction during the fall semester. Classes begin at the beginning of summer on July 1 and the time commitment is 320 hours. During the summer months and also during the autumn, a rich cultural and sightseeing programme is included as a supplement to the classical lessons. The course has two main objectives. The first one is to introduce the Czech Republic to foreign students and to adapt them to student life thanks to the summer start of the course. The second goal is to give students the opportunity to understand whether they really have the ambition to study at a university in the Czech Republic in the future. These students then extend their language learning in semester courses (Winter-Spring). The programme consists of a total of 320 lessons of general language training. In the context of the target group, this amount is sufficient to reach the B1 level (if the students start the course with knowledge of the English language at A2 level. | |
